Elected students run campaigns and events to improve students’ lives. The president of the Students’ Gathering represents the students in the college council. In our college, we make sure to engage our students in all our resolutions and forward plans. All Southern Technical University Students’ Gathering elections are based on the key principles of fairness and trust for everyone involved, whether that be a candidate or a student. All elections at Southern Technical University Students’ Gathering are guided by the rules and regulations set by the College Laws.
Why Should I Vote?
You certainly do not have to vote – voting at Southern Technical University is both a right and a privilege, but not an obligation. However, voting is your chance to influence so many things that affect your life here at our college.

Eligibility and Nominations
All registered students at Southern Technical University, in whatever year, whether local or international, may stand and vote.
All students of Southern Technical University are eligible to stand and vote for any position they qualify for. Most elections are conducted online, and information about standing and voting is available from the Students’ Gathering. We reserve the right to bar any person who has breached College rules and regulations.
Candidates must nominate themselves via the online form ( HERE) and should sign a form to confirm their candidature by the close of nominations. They must also provide proof they are a student at the College (e.g., Student ID).
1. The candidate must be a current student enrolled in a program at Southern Technical University.
2. The candidate should have good grades and a good reputation.
3. The candidate should be an undergraduate student within Southern Technical University.
4. The candidate should never have breached the college rules and regulations or been subject to disciplinary penalties.
5. The candidate should have good grades and a good reputation.
