Joint Coordination and Monitoring Center Unit

About the Unit

The Joint Coordination and Monitoring Unit at the Southern Technical University was established on April 14, 2024, based on a letter from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Minister’s Office, number M and 2/587 dated March 17, 2024, regarding the creation of this unit to implement a risk and vulnerability analysis (RVA) methodology.

To achieve a better future that enhances the university environment.

Mission of the Unit

To actively contribute to effective planning for the implementation of precautionary measures and the continuous improvement of action plans across all university divisions.

Goals of the Unit

  • To mitigate disasters and crises through a systematic approach across all university formations.
  • To analyze risks and crises based on the likelihood of occurrence and severity.
  • To implement the precautionary planning methodology approved by the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Center.
  • To raise community awareness through workshops and training courses.

Methodology of the Unit

  • Forming a support team of experienced professionals in risk management to implement the RCA methodology across all divisions.
  • Conducting workshops and training sessions based on global best practices in risk management.

Importance of the Unit

Identifying, classifying, and assessing the likelihood and severity of risks is the first step in minimizing negative impacts after establishing robust precautionary plans.

Activities of the Unit

Agreements will be made with all continuous education centers within our university and its formations, directing the unit to publish any course or workshop related to crisis and disaster management on the official website
