About the Department The Follow-up Department at the university is responsible for conducting security checks for university staff, preparing a unified employee database, entering and verifying ID information, printing IDs, and overseeing Civil Defense shifts. The department also receives visitors and guests, contacts the concerned individuals to inform them of a visitor’s presence, records visitor information in a dedicated log, and coordinates with the Facility Protection Force to facilitate the entry of university vehicles and visitors. Additionally, it implements and monitors the instructions issued by the Ministry in order to maintain security within the university. The department is managed by an employee holding at least a bachelor’s degree, who reports directly to the University President and is assisted by another employee also holding at least a bachelor’s degree.
Tasks and Duties:
Follow up on the directives issued by the Ministry regarding follow-up operations (University Security), implement them, and circulate them to colleges and institutes.
Follow up and implement the instructions and directives of the University President related to follow-up operations.
Participate in maintaining security and order within the university campus.
Supervise and follow up on the appointment of follow-up officers in colleges and institutes and monitor their performance.
Conduct field visits to the follow-up units and divisions in colleges and institutes.
Cooperate and coordinate with the Protection Force and security authorities responsible for protecting the area to enhance security measures.
Coordinate with military authorities to provide protection for the committee responsible for distributing employee salaries on a monthly basis.
Participate in periodic meetings held for follow-up officers to discuss work-related developments.
Oversee and ensure the necessary protection during celebrations, exhibitions, and scientific conferences.
Monitor Civil Defense duties in colleges and institutes to ensure proper performance.
Coordinate with the Director of Dormitory Departments regarding official communication to provide necessary protection for the dormitories.
Follow up on complaints related to employees, visitors, and students.
Implement department instructions concerning procedures related to arrests, assassinations, kidnappings, and terrorist incidents, and submit reports accordingly.
Assist the department director in resolving issues that arise between visitors and staff during official working hours, follow up on them, and submit detailed reports.
Monitor the performance of day and night follow-up staff to ensure duties are properly carried out.
Ensure the operation of electronic surveillance systems (cameras).
Maintain communication with various security authorities and collaborate in the field of information and other related activities.
Issue access permissions to facilitate the entry and exit of various materials to and from the university presidency, in coordination with the Facility Protection Force.
Issue special badges for vehicles of employees and students with serious medical conditions.
