Quality Assurance Unit for Scientific Laboratories responsibilities:
Monitoring and auditing laboratory specifications to ensure compliance with established standard requirements.
Defining technical specifications for devices and equipment, coding them, and documenting their data in coordination with laboratory officials at the university and other universities.
Following up on the implementation of calibration programs for devices and equipment with relevant parties.
Coordinating the organization of scheduled training courses for laboratory staff based on their specializations, in accordance with international specifications and national standards.
Coordinating with the Laboratory Accreditation Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority to enhance and improve laboratory performance for accreditation by a relevant specialized body.
Nominating a quality officer for each laboratory according to specialization at the university level.
Taking necessary actions to activate the procedures and requirements set by the laboratory accreditation team in the field.
Coordinating with relevant local entities to organize specialized courses to train auditors and quality inspectors for laboratory accreditation.
Conducting effective internal audits of random samples in the laboratories, using self-effort, to assess the efficiency of tests periodically.
