The Southern Technical University organized a workshop entitled “Extremism leading to terrorism”, presented by Professor Saad Nadhum of the Technical Engineering College, at the Continuing Education center. This workshop is part of the University’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness among participants about the risks posed by the phenomenon of extremism and its prominent role in the spread of terrorism.
The workshop addressed the topic of extremism in many respects, explaining the reasons for the development of this phenomenon and ways to address it, while highlighting its negative effects on societies. Strategies to prevent and reduce the effects of extremism were also reviewed through dialogue and interactive discussions in the workshop. These events aim to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the challenges of extremism and terrorism and to strengthen society’s capacity to respond to these serious phenomena.
