Implementing clarifications the President of the Southern University, Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Al-Ateeq, regarding communication and cooperation between the university and local governments in the southern governorates on Tuesday, in service of the university and society. Mr. Farqad Furat Al-Shammari, Director of Public Relations at the University Presidency, visited the Basra Governorate Council and met with Mr. Osama Abdul-Saad, Vice President of the Basra Governorate Council, in the presence of Mr. Jabbar Al-Shawi, Director of the Public Relations Department at the Governorate Council, then met with Ms. Wijdan Qasim Al-Maliki, Head of the Education, Teaching and Research Committee at the Governorate Council, where Mr. Vice President of the Follow-up Council followed up on his thanks for the previous scientific visit by Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Ateeq, President of the Southern University, to the Southern Council, which resulted in useful cooperation between the university and the Governorate Council on good results for both parties.
He also praised the great development in the presidency of the Southern Technical University and its formations within the borders of Basra Governorate and the readiness of the provincial council to provide more support to the university, especially in the field of infrastructure. The head of the Education and Research Committee also praised the remarkable achievements and scientific and community services achieved by the Southern Technical University.
In turn, Mr. Farqad Al-Shammari explained that the university president during his previous meetings with the governors and heads of the councils of the provinces of Dhi Qar and Maysan stressed the importance of uniting and exchanging all efforts for the supreme goal of serving the homeland and the citizen.
The Public Relations Director summarized the latest achievements of the university president and his tireless work during and after official working hours and during official holidays.
Finally, Al-Shammari indicated the university’s readiness to provide more services to the Basra and southern community and all official departments through the university’s advisory offices, seminars, conferences and voluntary activities in various university formations in addition to the specialized courses and lectures held by the Continuing Education Center at the university
