The Basra Technical Engineering College launches an environmental awareness and education campaign in schoolsovince.
The Basra Technical Engineering College in Basra pr launched an awareness and education campaign in the schools of Mawtani within Basra province to preserve the environment, confront climate change, and global warming as part of the activities of the Environmental Week.
The campaign was supervised by Dr. Abdul Amir Qasim Hussein, Assistant Professor Ahmad Abdul Nabi Sadiq, Assistant Lecturer Angam Umair Sahi, Assistant Lecturer Hajar Musa Shia, and the head of the Media and Government Communication Department, Saad Nadim Jasim.
Various lectures were delivered by fourth-year students of the Environmental Engineering and Pollution Technologies Department, including the following topics:
1. The adverse effects of plastic on the environment
2. Renewable energy and its relationship with the environment
3. Paper recycling
4. Safety procedures for using fire extinguishers
5. Capturing CO2 carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
The campaign aimed to preserve the environment and its great importance because it contributes to maintaining the health of the planet and its sustainability for future generations, in addition to preserving biodiversity and the balance of ecosystems, reducing pollution, the effects of climate change, and combating emissions.”
