The Continuing Education Center at the Southern Technical University, in collaboration with the Media and Government Communication Department, organized a course on Writing News Articles. The course was presented by Jassim Mohammed Al-Mansouri, the director of the Media Department at the university, and covered topics including the fundamentals of news writing, its techniques, key templates used, and the various types of news articles.
The course aims to train participants on how to write news according to established scientific and journalistic standards, as well as to raise awareness of the importance of news and how to convey it to media outlets. The course concluded that writing news articles requires accuracy, objectivity, and integrity in reporting, along with adherence to the structure of news writing to ensure the audience is well-informed about the event being reported.
Participants expressed their appreciation for the organizers of such activities, emphasizing their value for both media professionals and those interested in pursuing a career in the field.
