Southern Technical University hosted a number of Arab poets participating in the 35th edition of Al-Marbad Festival, the session of the poet Ahmed Matar, which was held in Basra Governorate, the hosting came under the auspices of the University President, Prof. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, who told our university’s media by saying: This hosting of a number of Arab poets participating in the Maribad Festival comes out of our belief that the university’s mission is strengthened through its humanitarian, cultural and creative role as well as its scientific role by embracing literary, intellectual and cultural events. He pointed out that the Maribad Festival in Basra Governorate constitutes an important turn for literature and writers and across the map of Iraq and the Arabs, so this hosting came to convey a message of love from the Southern Technical University and all intellectuals and creative people that it will sponsor them and their various creative activities It is worth mentioning that the university hosted the poet Dr. Osama Tag Al-Sir A from the sisterly Republic of Sudan, and the university hosted the poet Dr. Osama Tag Al-Sir A.
