The Southern Technical University signed a cooperation agreement with the General Company for Southern Fertilizers Industry, where it was signed by the University President Prof. Adnan Abdullah Atiq and the company’s Chief Engineer Mr. Haider Taha Jassim, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and some department directors and professors from Basra Engineering Technical College. He pointed out that the university is complementary to the industry just as the industry is complementary to the university and from this point of view we will have joint work in training, qualification and skills enhancement at all levels since the outputs of the university are inputs to companies and factories in the public and private sectors, Jassim explained that through this memorandum of understanding the company will invest the scientific capacities of the Southern Technical University to develop staff and solve technical issues that face us at work.
