The Continuing Education Center, in partnership with Netcom Systems, conducted an IELTS placement test for 100 examinees from various universities in Basra. The test, which was attended by the President of the University, Prof. Adnan Abdullah Atiq and the Scientific Assistant, witnessed the presence of a large number of those wishing to take this test because it is a real opportunity to test their English language. The director of the center, Dr. Maher Talib Al-Shamkhani, explained that this test was free of charge to determine the level of students in the three axes of the test (reading, writing and listening), where the test took place over two and a half hours, pointing out that the results of the test for students will be announced early next week, indicating that the center will announce preparatory courses for the actual test, which will be determined later.University Media
