In the presence of the President of the Southern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq and the assistants, as well as the deans of the university formations, the Shatrah Technical Institute hosted the seventh session for the academic year 2023/2024, the session witnessed the presence of a member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, the first deputy of the Higher Education Committee for Dhi Qar Governorate, former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Dr. Adel Al-Rikabi. The President of the University started the session by welcoming Mr. Al-Rikabi, pointing out that his presence at this session is evidence of the interest and support of the Council for our work, pointing out the importance of cooperation between the local government in the province and the university formations in it, which in turn will reflect on the performance of these formations, stressing that the university formations in this province need continuous support and infrastructure rehabilitation, although our formations are working hard in the face of challenges and difficulties, including lack of financial allocations to them to provide a sustainable university environment, for his part Al-Rikabi expressed the importance of meeting the members of the University Council, indicating that he is Our work is in support of you. After that, the session proceeded with its agenda, where the President of the University directed the need to follow up the curriculum of the first stage students through continuous visits and reviewing the progress of teaching, and his Excellency emphasized the follow-up of the implementation of the Bologna educational path and diversity in its methods, and Atiq pointed to the importance of encouraging and urging students to voluntary work and activating it as it contributes to community service and is an important goal of the university, including awareness and cooperation with the community police and providing services to al-Faqi families.
