The sixth session of the University Council for the academic year 2023/2024 was held in the building of the Technical Institute of omara , where the work of the Council began with the members congratulating the President of the University, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Ateeq, on the occasion of assuming the duties of President of the University. After that, Ateeq thanked the well-wishers, asking God to grant everyone success, stressing the necessity of Field work and striving to achieve the aspirations of the members, and that work in technical universities requires someone who has the choice to work there due to their technical and administrative specificity, pointing out that we always need the opinion and other opinion and our greatest concern is to advance the university to the required level through a flexible plan and strategy that we will all work to implement in a team spirit. Al-Wahid, referring to the outstanding files, including the file of calculating degrees, where he indicated that this file will be before the attention of a committee formed in the presidency of the university that will work in accordance with the regulations and ministerial decisions, provided that everyone is treated fairly. The President of the University pointed out that the file of reconstruction and projects is among my priorities, and I will be supportive of all formations to advance it. More importantly, working within a safe environment by including everyone in the reconstruction and rehabilitation committees. His Excellency stressed the importance of the university with all its formations being open to society, because a closed university is a university without a name. The Council then reviewed the request of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the University Council’s recommendation to express the opinion. Regarding changing the name of the Department of Materials Management in the formations of administrative institutes to the Department of Warehouse Management and the creation of the Department of Environmental Technology and Pollution Engineering at the Shatrah Technical College. The Council also discussed the creation of the Department of Health Management, Pharmacy Fluctuations, Machinery and Equipment Technologies at the Shatrah Technical Institute, after which the items on the agenda were discussed and concluded.
