The Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Shatrah Technical Institute within the Southern Technical University carried out a field visit to one of the children’s schools in the Chibayish Marsh area in the district, as part of climate change activities to help students and introduce them to this change. The visit included an overview of the educational reality in this region, as well as the distribution of in-kind aid to them. The Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Muwaffaq Abdul Aziz Al-Hasnawi, stated that the environment in general in the world and Iraq in particular is witnessing a radical change in climate fluctuations, which has negatively affected life in agricultural and dense areas.
