The President of the Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, and the members and students of the Department of Laboratory Technology within the Basra Technical Institute participated in the Victory Day celebrations. The ceremony began with blessed verses from the Holy Qur’an, after which the national anthem was played, then a speech by the President of the University, in which he thanked the organizers of this ceremony. Al-Bahij, pointing out that we live this honorable life, which God has perpetuated for us, as a result of the sacrifices of the loyal martyrs, so we must preserve this sacrifice through our actions and deeds, pointing out that the university presidency will be the sponsor of you and your activities at a time when it expects from the members the high determination to accompany the determination. The compassion that exists between you and your students, and among our students is the high determination, diligence and patience. For his part, the head of the department, Dr. Asaad Faraj Hamza, expressed his happiness in answering the invitation to attend from the President of the University, stressing that the students and members of the department will be the help and hand that participates in construction and reconstruction and for all activities. Adopted by the university, the ceremony witnessed the reading of poems and lyrics that sang love for the homeland and the sacrifice of the martyrs
