Southern Technical University students participated in the activities of the central graduation ceremony for Iraqi university students, which was organized by the General Secretariat of the Abbasid Shrine with the participation of 44 public and private universities. The ceremony included celebratory ceremonies distributed among those attending the shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abbas, as well as chanting the graduation oath in the presence of Imam Abbas (peace be upon him), in addition to many other activities. The ceremony, which carried the slogan (From the land of Karbala, giving results) comes within the Al-Kafeel Boys Project. The General Secretariat of the al-Abbas Shrine, in organizing this annual carnival, aims to show the true image and meaning of the outputs of Iraqi universities and the national unity of the people of Iraq, through the participation of students of all religions, sects and nationalities. It is noteworthy that the university’s staff included the Director of the Student Activities Department, Dr. Manaf Hussein Odeh, the Director of the Teaching Follow-up Department, Ahmed Zidan Hamdan, as well as the Director of the Media and Government Communication Department, and dozens of university students.
