The Department of Electrical Technologies at the Qurna Technical Institute within the Southern Technical University organized a workshop on adaptive control systems and its applications, with the participation of a number of the institute’s members. The workshop aims to identify the idea behind adaptive control, which is to make the feedback control unit itself adapt. With the changing conditions in the factory, so that it can still achieve performance goals. The workshop in which Assistant Lecturer Shahad Mohammad Majeed lectured included several topics, including an explanation of the concept of adaptive control and its behavior to respond to changes in process dynamics and the nature of disturbances. The second topic dealt with clarifying the most important differences between adaptive control and traditional control in terms of performance and efficiency and the most important advantages of using adaptive control in the manufacture of unmanned aircraft to adapt them to changing flight conditions.
