The Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Qurna Technical Institute within the Southern Technical University organized a training course on building the leadership capabilities of women’s cadres within the unit’s annual plan, with the participation of a number of the institute’s members. The course aims to increase awareness of women’s status in society, increase their capabilities to be equal to men in participating and making decisions, increase their leadership positions, and work to unify efforts aimed at supporting their rights in a way that ensures achieving social justice and protecting their pioneering role in building the family and society. The course in which Ms. Israa Samir Abdul Nabi, lectured an introduction to the concept of leadership and the characteristics of women’s leadership, which included the transformational leadership style that emphasizes teamwork and authentic communication as the key to success, as well as an explanation of many other methods related to women’s leadership.
