The first session of the academic year 2023/2024 was held at the Nasiriyah Technical Institute inThi Qar Governorate, in the presence of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Rabiee Hashem Al-Abbasi, the assistants, as well as the members of the Council. The results of the final exams for postgraduate students, the second round within the university’s programs, were discussed in the session. The attendees also reviewed the book of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Department of Studies and Planning, Directorate of Central Admissions, which includes calculating the non-failure of the academic year 2022/2023 and dealing with student cases. The Council discussed the evaluation of maintenance work for the internal departments. As part of the university’s formations and the necessary recommendations were taken, the attendees reviewed the memorandum of the University’s Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, which included the formation of a specialized committee of industrialists, university professors, and consulting engineers to review the proposals and observations presented by the National Security Advisory for advancement. In light of the reality of Iraqi industry, the Council completed the items on its agenda and took the necessary decisions and recommendations for that.
