The eighteenth session of the University Council for the academic year 2022/2023 was held at the Southern Technical University in the presence of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Rabee Hashem Al-Abbasi, his assistant for administrative affairs, as well as the deans of the formations.
The Council began its work under the directives of the President of the University and the importance of working with the controls and decisions that reach the formations and taking into account the speed of answering them in a way that ensures the smooth implementation of what is required of those decisions.
Al-Abbasi stressed the necessity of personal follow-up of employees in the internal departments, as it is an important aspect of the university
The Council discussed the results of the second round examinations for preliminary studies students and discussed the letter of the Department of Studies and Planning at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding approval to include graduates of successful students from the second round who wish to apply exclusively to the Ministries of Defense and Interior with an endorsement showing that the student successfully passed the fourth round for the academic year 2022/2023. The attendees reviewed the minutes of the first meeting of the committee studying the establishment of the College of Applied Arts Technologies. The Council also discussed the Ministry’s letter, which included the approval of His Excellency the Minister on requests to create evening studies in which a morning study was created.
The Council also reviewed the Ministry’s clarification regarding upgraded studies students who were returned to school seats. After that, the items included in the agenda were discussed and the necessary decisions and recommendations were taken.
