The Center for Continuing Education within the Southern Technical University organized a course on the design and calculations of oil and gas insulators for the staff of the Southern Refineries Company within the monthly plan for training courses. The course, which was lectured by Hisham Jaber from Basra Technical College of Engineering, aims to identify the types of oil and gas insulators, the basic calculations of design, and knowledge of production efficiency, which contributes to finding the production rate. The course included an introduction to point insulators and the mechanism for identifying insulation processes, as well as the pressure determinants within those insulators. The course comes within joint cooperation between the university and government institutions working in the oil and gas sectors, in addition to private sector departments in the areas of providing advice and scientific support.
