The psychological counseling and educational guidance unit at Shatra Technical College within the Southern Technical University organized a seminar on administrative corruption, its concept, manifestations, causes. The seminar, which was attended by the unit’s official, Mr. Mohammed Rashid, aims at the importance of spreading the culture of justice and law and fighting corruption in all its types and forms, in addition to explaining the concept of corruption and the effects and repercussions it has on the individual and society. The seminar concluded that the devastating effects and negative consequences of the outbreak of this abhorrent phenomenon affect all the components of life for the general people, wasting money, wealth, time and energy, hindering the performance of responsibilities and the completion of jobs and services, as well as it constitutes a system of sabotage and corruption that causes further delays in the process of construction and progress. For his part, the dean of the faculty, assistant professor Dr. Adnan Alwan Maktouf, explained that the programs prepared by the faculty based on the directives of the University Presidency stressed the importance of developing scientific solutions to such phenomena that pose a serious threat to society, and we, as academics, should develop the correct, scientific and applicable programs in order to eliminate such negative phenomena
