The president of the Southern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Rabiee Hashim Al Abbasi, opened the exhibition of scientific products, student projects, professors and patents of the first invention. Abbasi stressed to the media who came to this exhibition the importance of such distinguished activities as it reviews the scientific and technical products of students and supervising professors alike, and it also establishes the principle of cognitive competition between the University formations, pointing out that some of the products presented can be used in the local markets for their accuracy and quality, and the university president stressed the need for continuous work in training and qualification to contribute to enhancing the scientific output of students and hone their skills. The exhibition witnessed many innovations for scientific devices for educational laboratories, smart irrigation devices, automatic control devices, a device for manufacturing industrial presses to generate electric power, as well as many electrical and sanitary devices and patents. The exhibition was attended by the university president’s assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, in addition to the deans of some formations of Basra governorate, Deans ‘ assistants and teaching staff from Maysan and Thi Qar governorates, students, satellite channels and important news agencies
