The qualification, employment and follow-up division at the Southern Technical University, in cooperation with the southern refineries company, has completed a training program to train university graduates within the job training program adopted by the Ministry of higher education and scientific research and supervised by the University at the company’s website. Dr. Alaa Farid Abdul-Ahad explained at the ceremony of distributing certificates of participation to trainees that one of the most important goals of the University and its mission is to reduce the gap between technical and academic education and the reality of work, stressing the importance of training graduates and qualifying them to acquire the skill and ability to find solutions to the technical problems they face when working, Abdul-Ahad pointed out that cooperation continues with the South refineries company and the rest of the government sectors for the purpose of training graduates of our university and enhance their potential. For his part, the director of the Continuing Education Center and the head of the rehabilitation, employment and follow-up division at the University, Mr. Aqil Mohammad Ali, said that the training included up to 81 participants, between a full-time student and a group of graduates, stressing that the university is continuing to involve graduates of its students in important programs and for all specialties to qualify them to enter the labor market. On a related level, the company’s Training Officer, Mr. Mortadha rahif Ali, stressed that cooperation with the university is ongoing and will not be the last, as its outputs are inputs for the government and private sectors, as well as future plans will be fruitful in the field of training and joint cooperation. The ceremony, which witnessed the distribution of participation certificates to the trainees, was attended by the director of the Department of scientific affairs at the University in addition to the training officials at the southern refineries company
