The Administrative Technical College within the Southern Technical University, in cooperation with the Peace Paths Organization, organized a workshop on the climate impacts of the climate crisis. The workshop, in which Mr. Ammar Thabet Zakry, the director of the organization’s office in Erbil, was titled Climate Impacts and Methods of Confrontation and Adaptation. The challenges included the challenges result from climate change, the causes of this crisis, methods of treatment and adaptation to it, as well as the role of universities in contributing to and addressing these climatic phenomena.The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Jaber Hussein Ali, explained to us the importance of such seminars and workshops, as they shed light on a serious and important issue, not only on Iraq, but on the whole world.Pointing out the importance of the role played by universities in spreading climate awareness among society by adopting promising projects for environmental development.
In conclusion, the Dean expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the representative of the Peace Paths Organization in this regard.
