With the participation of the central bank and a group of prepayment companies in Basra governorate, the Administrative Technical College within the Southern Technical University organized a workshop on electronic payment systems, and the workshop, which was attended by many specialists in this regard, included Axes, including the importance of electronic payment in Iraq and what it will bring benefit at the financial and social levels, providing a better atmosphere of comfort and security for customers, and allowing for freedom of trade and movement and the exchange of resources between different countries of the world without any restrictions, in addition to saving time, effort, security, protection and increasing the percentage of sales. The dean of the college, assistant professor Dr. Jaber Hussein Ali, that this workshop came at the direction of the president of the University in light of the requirements of the government program and the directives of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research on the transition to financial governance through electronic payment systems for all financial transactions, as well as this role will contribute to the establishment of a fully secure electronic payment system and will help strengthen the pillars of the Iraqi economy.
