The official of the women’s empowerment division at the Southern Technical University participated in the central celebration of women’s day, which was held by the local government of Basra governorate, where it was organized under the slogan – Iraqi women are partners in sustainable development-and the official of the division headed by the University, Dr. Alaa Abdul Zahra, attended the events of this ceremony and indicated to inform us that this participation came to activate the role of governmental and non-governmental organizations to support women and empower them economically, sensitively and socially, pointing to the importance of participation and hard work to enhance the role of women in our society. It is noteworthy that the University formations continuously organize seminars and awareness workshops that focus on women’s Affairs and their real role in building society
