Prof. Dr. Rabee Hashim Abbasi, President of the Southern Technical University, chaired the ninth session for the academic year 2022/2023 in the presence of assistants and deans of the University formations. At the beginning of the meeting, Abbasi congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing everyone an acceptable fast, asking God to grant Iraq and its people good, Yemen and blessings. After that, the participants discussed the admission plan for the initial studies for the academic year 2023/2024 with fixing notes for each formation, and also discussed the approval of the final exam results for the first semester of the first stage for the academic year 2022/2023. The council was briefed on the mechanism of supporting scientific research and the procedures for supporting and stimulating scientific research and valuing the efforts of researchers. The attendees discussed the ministerial order on the ministry’s plan to implement the Bologna course of study for universities and the approval of the minister of higher education and scientific research on the recommendations of supporting local journals.
