The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the Nasiriyah Technical Institute within the Southern Technical University held a workshop on combating corruption and its role in building society in terms of financial and administrative integrity.
The workshop, in which the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Institute, Dr. Ali Khalaf Katee, taught, aims to increase the effectiveness of oversight by giving it the necessary powers to audit the institution’s work.
In addition to following up on the implementation of the Code of Conduct for government departments as the main pillar to reduce corruption, in addition to defining the importance of working on establishing a department specialized in risk management in the institution.
The workshop concluded that it is necessary to develop mechanisms and tools for supervision and follow-up by the heads of institutions to ensure that the decision is not monopolized, and to adopt continuous training for employees to develop their performance and capabilities.
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Khawam Risan Hussein, his assistant for scientific affairs, the head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the Institute, and a number of associates.
