The seventh session of the academic year 2022/2023 was held in the Southern Technical University, in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Rabee Hashem Al-Abbasi, and the members of the Council. The meeting discussed the results of the final exams for the first semester of the second phase according to the semester system. The book of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Department of Research and Development, which includes the authority of the University Council to set standards for scientific publication of graduate students’ research and the minimum limits required for publication, was also discussed. The council also discussed the Ministry’s book on supporting and stimulating scientific research and the authority of the University Council to implement its paragraphs. His Excellency the Minister’s approval of the deans’ committee’s opinion to include those who failed in the engineering project subject with half the grades of the decision for handling cases. The council reviewed the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on the mechanism for determining the first students in colleges and institutes and the ruling on dismissal of graduates for the morning and evening studies, since the instructions, controls and conditions for applying for the two studies are different. Then the attendees discussed the items on the agenda and took the necessary recommendations and decisions
