The President of the Southern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Rabee Hashem Al-Abbasi, met in his office the head of the Education Department at UNESCO in Iraq, Mr. Santosh Khatri, and a delegation that included the coordinator of the Heritage Cities Revival Project as well as the coordinator of the TEVET project in Iraq.
Al-Abbasi discussed with the visiting delegation joint projects regarding the restoration of heritage houses in the educational governorate of Basra and the TEVET project in Iraq, pointing out that the university and all its capabilities will be the real supporter of these projects.
From his part, Khatri expressed his happiness with this meeting, stressing the importance of cooperation between the university and the international organization, as it reflects the real desire to activate the cultural and scientific aspects in the fields of training and qualification.
The meeting was attended by the assistant president of the university for scientific affairs and the dean of the Administrative Technical College in Basra and a number of professors and department directors in the university presidency.
