The Department of Student Activities at the Southern Technical University ranks ninth among Iraqi public and private universities and first among technical universities within the classifications of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which are concerned with evaluating student sports, artistic, cultural and scouting activities.
The Director of the Activities Department, Dr. Manaf Hussein Odeh, stated that the directives of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Rabee Hashim Al-Abbasi, regarding the need to pay attention to student activities, had a great impact on our university obtaining this important arrangement through his sponsorship of many activities
Pointing out that the competition was great between universities to obtain advanced ranks, but our participation in these activities was an important sign in that competition.
