Under the auspices of the President of the Southern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Rabee Hashim Al-Abbasi, the Student Activities Department organized the university championship with badminton, table tennis and chess games.
The Director of the Activities Department, Dr. Manaf Hussein, stated that this championship came in preparation for participation in the ministerial curriculum for the first semester launched by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, where the aforementioned games took place inside the university sports hall.
Pointing out that this competition was intense among university students of various formations, as the Technical Institute of Basra won most of the first places in the aforementioned games, followed by the Health Technical College in the table tennis game.
And the College of Engineering Technology, Maysan, with two games of table tennis (female students in the first place) and chess (male students in the second place).
The President of the University attended the conclusion of the tournament, during which he honored the participants in the games, wishing everyone excellence and success.
