The Women Empowerment Unit at the Southern Technical University, in cooperation with the Nasiriyah Technical Institute, and within the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women, and in coordination with the Women’s Affairs Advisor in Thi Qar Governorate, the Community Police, and the Family and Child Office in the governorate, organized an expanded seminar on combating violence against women.
The symposium, in which the Governor’s Adviser for Women’s Affairs, Mrs. Anam Al-Shather taught, aims to define the role of the community police in resolving family disputes and clarify the nature of dealing with the return of homeless women to their families under legal protection to ensure their protection from social and clan traditions and customs.
At the conclusion of the symposium, in which the Dean of the Institute and the Director of the Family and Child Department attended, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participants
