In cooperation with the Women Empowerment Unit at the Presidency of the Southern Technical University and with the participation of a number of associates and students, the Qurna Technical Institute organized an awareness seminar on early marriage.
The symposium in which Ms. (Umm Al-Banin Qasim Hanoun) taught several axes, including a discussion of the causes of early marriage and the most important differences between it and the marriage of a minor and addressing the reasons for the marriage of a minor, Including gender inequality, customs and traditions, in addition to poverty and insecurity, as well as discussing the dangers of child marriage.
The symposium aims to introduce the foundations of the family socially and healthily, the risks and harms of early marriage, and raise awareness among the attendees, and introduce them to these risks and their future dimensions.
