The Women Empowerment Unit at the Southern Technical University, in coordination with the Deanship of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, organized an awareness lecture on (fraud and electronic extortion) for the staff and students of the college and at Ibn Sina Hall
The lecture, in which a specialized cadre from the Community Police Department in Basra Governorate participated, aims to alert, raise awareness, protect against electronic crime, prevent fake accounts, and raise the level of awareness among students.
The lecture included a detailed explanation of the dangers of fraud and electronic extortion, avoiding their occurrence, and how to deal with them to avoid social and psychological damage. The lecture featured a film about blackmail and how to avoid such crimes.
