The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research decided to adopt the Bologna Process system in the four technical universities as a new study system.
This came during the approval of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, on the joint minutes of the study file for this system. His Excellency’s endorsement came as a commitment to the vision of development and rehabilitation in the fields of technical and vocational education and training, and an affirmation of the outputs of direct cooperation with UNESCO.
In four technical universities at the level of the first stages, it was decided to start adopting the Bologna Process system in preliminary studies in universities.
The President of the Southern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Rabee Hashim Al-Abbasi, told us that the university has made an important stride in this educational program through active participation in workshops and training courses in which university professors participated inside and outside Iraq.
Pointing out that the Department of Information Technology in the Administrative Technical College is the first department in which this system will be applied, starting from the academic year 2022/2023.
It is noteworthy that the application of this system came to enhance harmony with the international educational systems, which are compatible with the requirements of quality and academic accreditation, and in response to the changes of the labor market
