On the occasion of the entry of some of the Arab universities QS, the United Arab Emirates organized a special conference for this important classification
The Southern Technical University represented in this ceremony and received the entry shield, the Director of the Computer Center, Dr. Haidar Yaqoub Yousef, who explained to our university media that this classification depends mainly on scientific research and the academic reputation of the university.
As well as supporting scientific research and financing it by the industry and not relying on government funding completely and linking research with industry and joint research cooperation between universities.
It is noteworthy that the conference also discussed many axes and challenges facing Arab universities, including publishing in the Arabic language in the Scopus container, in addition to transferring the student’s quarterly and annual assessment primarily to projects instead of relying entirely on exams to enhance research for students from the first stage.
