The seminar, which was taught by Dr. Jabbar Tarish Ahmed, aims to clarify the meanings of the numbers attached to the packages of manufactured foodstuffs.
Knowing what the materials are and how important they are in improving the taste or texture, and knowing whether it is a preservative against microbes or against oxidation.
The episode included introducing the dangers of these substances to health, since some of these additives are carcinogenic if consumed in large quantities and for a long time.
The seminar concluded at the end of its work to the need to verify the information on food packages well before eating them.
