Southern Technical University is discussing with the representative of the Canadian World University Service Organization the innovative Cooperation aspects between employers and training institutions

The Southern Technical University discussed with the representative of the Canadian World University Service Organization  the innovative Cooperation aspects between employers and training institutions and the use of technology to support professional orientation in Iraq.

This came during a meeting with the assistant president of the university for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Alaa Farid Abdul-Ahad, representative of the Canadian University Service and program coordinator in Basra Governorate, Mr. Sultan Jaber. Abdul-Ahad explained to his guest that universities without partnerships with the community cannot advance in the right way, so the Southern Technical University has its doors open for cooperation to serve its students and affiliates, as this cooperation is an integral part of its mission and goals.

 

From his part, Mr. Sultan Jaber expressed his satisfaction with the great cooperation that he touched from the university, stressing that if this program is implemented, it will make a qualitative leap in the professional sector in Iraq.

As well as producing graduates with the skills needed for the labor market, in addition to building the capacities of vocational training centers and developing curricula.

It is noteworthy that the purpose of the program presented by the Canadian government is to support the promotion of economic empowerment of female and male, men and women in Iraq by working with the private sector as an engine of change and building partnerships with the private sector in a deeper way with technical training institutions.

This was attended by the Director of the Department of Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ayad Abdul-Khaleq, as well as the Director of the Media and Public Relations Department at the University Presidency.
