The Department of Construction and Projects, under the direction of the President of the Southern Technical University, has implemented a number of projects, including building an expansion of the Finance and Administration Department, and is working on planning for another number of projects.
The director of the department, Dr. Abdul Amir Qasim Hassan, indicated that the Department of Construction and Projects has entered the final stages of the building of the financial and administrative annex, which was designed by the architect in the department, Kholoud Abdul Amir Oraibi, and supervised by Engineer Balsam Majid Hamid and Engineer Tahseen Ali Mahdi.
Pointing out that there are promising projects that are being implemented, including a building for classrooms in the Technical Administrative College of Basra with an area of 556 square meters, in addition to the establishment of a health complex in Shatrah Technical College with an area of 30 square meters.
As well as the establishment of a student affairs building within the Maysan Technical College with an area of 217 square meters.
The director of the department confirmed that the Department of Construction and Projects at the university has many promising future plans that will be implemented as soon as the budget is available, and include the university structure, laboratories and training workshops.
