The Technical College of Thi Qar within the Southern Technical University organized a symposium on psychology, social engineering and cybersecurity in cooperation with the Directorate of National Security in the governorate.
The symposium, in which Alaa Hassan Khashan, who is affiliated with the Directorate of National Security / Thi Qar, taught, aims to immunize the community with security and intellectual awareness and introduce it to the great harm that is inflicted on others as a result, as well as working on security awareness to reduce the increasing cases of fraud and electronic extortion.
The symposium included topics, including social engineering and its relationship to psychology, in addition to introducing this engineering that uses scientific intelligence and fraud methods to obtain private information from the victim without relying on any other technology.
The Dean of the College, Prof.Dr. Baqir Turki Attia, stated that the college is keen to provide to its students with more scientific and intellectual information, which would enhance their academic capabilities and social awareness, pointing to the importance of such seminars as they serve the community, thanking at the same time the relevant authorities for their cooperation with the Deanship of the College To provide more important initiatives that serve students.
