A session of the University Council was held at the Southern Technical University, which included the formations of Basra Governorate and through the cyberspace of other formations.
The President of the University, Prof.Dr. Rabie Hashem Al-Abbasi, began the session with the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which were included the opinion panel meeting, in which the thanks and praise of His Excellency the Minister to the universities with their advanced cadres, teachers staff and researchers for their work during the past academic year, in addition to the instructions for dealing with critical cases in colleges and institutes for all Universities.
The attendees discussed the importance of applying safety and security standards on campus, because of its importance in preserving public money and avoiding accidents.
The council emphasized on overcoming the problems that citizens face during their review of the university, as well as paying attention to scientific research and adhering to publishing standards.Then the attendees discussed the items on its agenda and took the necessary recommendations.
