Under the direct guidance of the Presidency of the Southern Technical University and the Deanship of the Technical Institute of Basra, the volunteer work team carried out a cleaning and awareness campaign in the center of Basra Governorate and its sub-streets.
The campaign included cleaning some streets and sub-alleys in them and reducing random littering, as well as educating passersby on the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of those streets and working as a team with the governorate’s municipality.
The head of the volunteer team the teachers , Ali Faisal Al-Saad, indicated that his volunteer team included employees and students of the Nursing Technology Department, believing in the necessity of cleaning streets and educating citizens on the importance of cooperating with cleaners, as they perform a commendable work.
Pointing out that the Presidency of the University and the Deanship of the Institute directed to communicate with the community that your message is not only educational but awareness, adding that the campaign included the distribution of waste bags with a directive to collect this waste and place it in places that are easy to transport by municipality workers.
