The Legal Administration Techniques Department at the Nasiriyah Technical Institute within the Southern Technical University organized an educational symposium on domestic violence in cooperation with OUR Organization for Culture and Children.
The symposium aims to introduce the type of domestic violence and its consequences that cause the collapse of social reality, as well as activating the supervisory role, the Family Protection Law and the fight against the scourge of drugs.
The seminar, which was attended by the President of OUR Organization for Culture and the Child, Mrs. Mona Al-Hilali, included topics including domestic violence in society, its causes and repercussions on the family in Iraqi society, dealing with difficult economic conditions and how to overcome them.
The symposium concluded with activating the supervisory role of the Family Protection Law and combating the scourge of drugs in terms of trafficking and abuse, as well as allocating medical teams to treat victims of domestic violence, criminalizing child labor and depriving them of education.
