Students of the Southern Technical University and the University of Mosul participated in a training workshop on combating false and misleading information on social media and conflict management skills.
The workshop organized by Mercy Corps and attended by the University’s Media and Public Relations Department, aims to counter the impact of misinformation related to social media.
The workshop which was attended by experienced trainers, included lectures on working to increase the capacity of youth and university students to confront misinformation.
In addition to the steps to combat the spread of misinformation, as well as the mechanism for manipulating that information and ways to deal with it.
It is noteworthy that Mercy Corps is a peace and community building organization that works with most of the reputable universities in the world and has international offices, including Iraq.
