The Department of Women’s Empowerment in the Diwan of Basra Governorate honored the responsible of the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Presidency of the Southern Technical University, Dr. Alaa Abdul-Zahra.And that was during a ceremony held by the governorate in cooperation with the Al-Taqwa Association for Women and Child Rights, the Al-Malath Foundation for Human Development, the Iraqi Center for the Rehabilitation and Employment of Women, and the Information Center for Research and Development .
It is noteworthy that the ceremony was held on the grounds of the Sport City on the occasion of International Women’s Day, and the celebration was attended by some organizations and women’s empowerment units in the governorate departments and a large group of families, The ceremony included a variety of activities, most notably a car show and horse riding for women only. A number of certificates of appreciation and shields of creativity and gratitude were distributed.
