The employees of the milling workshop at the Technical Institute of Nasiriyah within the Southern Technical University succeeded in rehabilitating the surface grinding machine for training students of the Mechanical Technology Department.
The head of the department, Dr. Ali Abdul-Abbas Al-Khafaji, stated that the cost of maintaining and re-operating this machine in the local market costs more than the value of the new machine, but that with the self-efforts of a number of employees of the laboratory and maintenance unit and the Mechanical Techniques Department, it was returned to work for the purpose of training students inside the workshop, maintenance work and support State departments that need its services. From his part, the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Khawam Raysan Hussein, congratulated all the participants for this great achievement, which is an incentive for everyone to preserve state property, especially those that fall within the scope of educational institutions.
