The President of the University, Prof.Dr. Rabie Hashem Al-Abbasi, met in his office the member of the Iraqi Parliament from Basra Governorate, Dr. Yassin Hassan Taher, where he handed him an invitation to attend the awareness book fair, which was organized by Al-Ghadeer Printing and Publishing Company . in its sixth edition for this year.
Al-Abbasi participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition with a delegation that included the Dean of the Engineering Technical College of Basra, the Dean of the Qurna Technical Institute and a number of university teachers. He toured the exhibition halls expressing his admiration for the organization and the good reception.
From his part, a member of the Iraqi Parliament Council expressed his satisfaction with meeting the President of the University, stressing that cooperation between legislative and educational institutions is of great importance in society, which is reflected positively on the performance of those institutions.
