The College of Health and Medical Technologies within the Southern Technical University organized a workshop on biofuels as the most important source of renewable energy sources and at Ibn Sina Hall
The workshop, which was taught by Dr.Shoroq Abdul Razzaq Hassan, a lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies, included introducing biofuels as a type of renewable energy, It is derived from biomass, which includes organic products from plants and animals.
This workshop aims to raise awareness about biofuels or what is known as bioenergy as a source of renewable energy and bring about the necessary change in behavior
Providing opportunities for all researchers to do their role in protecting and improving the environment
The workshop concluded with finding a consensus charter for biofuels with an effective and acceptable formula that achieves a balance between biofuel production and food security and accelerating research to focus fuel production from wood, weeds and plant residues.
